36 Weeks

So this post is going to be a bit different than normal. The pictures of fruit are no longer relevant! We had a doctor's appointment on Thursday and found out that our sweet little girl isn't so little! She's 7 lbs 7 ounces already.  Now, I shouldn't be shocked. I was a big baby, my brother was a big baby, my mom was a big baby and so was my grandmother. I'm talking 10 lb babies here. My doctor said if I go until my due date she'll likely be around 10 lbs. OH MY GOSH. I knew this was a possibility given my genetics, but to know beyond a doubt that the baby inside of me is huge is a whole other game! I mean, check out those chubby cheeks! Hilarious. I do love this kid.

Our doctor is going to monitor her growth over the next two weeks and then make the decision to either let me deliver naturally or go the c-section route. She's really worried about me delivering such a large baby.  Please pray that I let go of my expectations and trust that God has a plan for this birth. I know that my doctor has our best interests at heart.

In other news, Matt and I both had some kind of stomach virus this week. I had to go to the hospital for an IV on Tuesday. NOT FUN. But we're all better now-not to fear! It was a bit scary though...glad it's over!

How far along? 36 weeks and 2 days
Stretch marks? None, still holding strong! Thanks mom for the genetics.
Sleep: Because I was so sick on Tuesday they gave me something in my IV to help me relax...and then I slept all day. It was a beautiful silver lining to a terrible situation!
Best moment this past week: Spending time with Trent, Lora and our surprise vistor MCKENNA!!!! :)
Food cravings: Oranges again! Yummo
Labor signs: Nothing. ugh.
What I miss: Strangers not staring at me with crazy eyes. People just fixate on this giant bump. It doesn't really bother me, it's just a bizarre feeling!!! :)
What I am looking forward to: Easter!
Weekly Wisdom: To trust that God has a plan
Milestone: The baby has officially dropped....she's super low, which is the only progress I've made, but I'll take it!

I have faith that you can deliver a 10 pound baby! You're tough!! Here's hoping she doesn't get that big before she's born, though. :)

You and me are in the same boat! I'm hoping both girls are over 5lbs each, but that means I'll be carrying about 10lbs of baby by the end of this!! Totally understand how you are feeling!! I'm already carrying over 2lbs and am starting to waddle. Can't imagine what it will be like in a month - ha!
