Easter Weekend

Holy Week and Easter weekend are always a little crazy around here seeing as how Matt's a pastor and all :) I think my other pastor's wife friends will agree that about mid-week you wonder how you'll make it through the rest of the week! But somehow, we always do :)

On Thursday Charlotte and I were able to participate in the family Maundy Thursday service, which was really special. It's a rare day when we get to worship all together. I'm looking forward to next year when we will be able to worship with all FOUR of us!

Saturday was the Easter Egg Hunt! It was really so much fun. Charlotte clearly had no clue what was going on, but she was happy to be outside with her friends. She did pick up one egg, which was more than I was expecting :) My father-in-law, Kerwin, came up for dinner that night which was such a nice treat! After dinner he and Charlotte exchanged silly noises and faces. It was pretty cute :)

Getting ready to hunt for eggs!

Happy with her egg selection :)

Silly noises with Grandad

And some silly faces, too!

Sunday was great! Matt's sermon was wonderful, per usual :) and Charlotte looked precious in her yellow swiss dot dress! After church the three of us went to lunch at the Matthews' home (Elizabeth Duffin's parents). The food and the company were equally wonderful :) Charlotte missed her afternoon nap, but was cheerful and "talkative" the entire time. Mrs. Matthews even bought Charlotte a mini version of her bunny that she sleeps with. She was super excited and snuggled with it during lunch. It was pretty adorable :) All in all, it was a great first Easter for Miss Charlotte! I hope that you and your family had a blessed Easter, too!

Just a Sunday Update :)

I hope everyone had a blessed Palm Sunday today! Today at church the nursery workers informed me that Charlotte will be moving up to the toddler class soon. So sad, I love those ladies!!! But they'll keep her for Easter and then switch her over the next week. Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of Charlotte before church today in her cute outfit, but I did get some right after her nap and during her afternoon snack...thought I would share those :)
Right after her nap

Super excited about her snack

She was telling me something very important and waving her snack at me while she was "talking" :)

In other news, Jackson kept me up most of the night last night with his ridiculous kicking. I had to make laps around the house to get him to settle down. Should I be nervous about what's to come??? Also, just as a side note, I'm in my 3rd Trimester! Can you believe it? My bi-weekly doctor appointments start up now. Insane. I can't believe how much faster this pregnancy is going by compared to my first.

I'll leave you with a few of photos from a playdate this past Tuesday...HAVE A GREAT WEEK! :)

Easter Bunny

On Tuesday Charlotte and I joined our playgroup to go visit the Easter Bunny! From afar Charlotte was very friendly with the bunny. She was waving and smiling! However, once we got up close she was a bit skeptical. Shocker, I know. She kept turning around to check him out and then would give us worried glances. She was very brave though! She didn't shed a tear :) We'll see how next year goes...

Also, a HUGE thanks to Rachel for taking the pictures of the kids so we didn't have to pay :) It sure is convenient being friends with a professional photographer :)

A Little Behind...

Sorry it's been awhile since I blogged! We've been in Kansas for our sweet friends' Steven & McKenna's wedding. I'll follow up later this week with Charlotte's 11 month update (yes, 2 weeks late) and other happenings. So last week Charlotte and I joined a few of our friends and their children for an adventure atDiscovery Green for Toddler Tuesday's Story Time & Foam Party! The foam they used is "green" so it was non-toxic and hypo-allergenic. Perfect for little ones :) After the foam party we went to the park and played for a bit and then had lunch out on the green. It was a busy day filled with LOTS of fun! Claire (Julie's daughter) probably enjoyed the foam the most...Kate (Rachel's daughter) and Charlotte were seriously skeptical, and sweet little Grant (Katie's son) just watched since he's still a little guy (6 months)! Even though Charlotte was unsure about the bubbles, she made time to show off her dance moves to all the moms and kiddos :)

Here are some pictures from our great adventure:
